THE SKI RESORT OF OBERGURGL-HOCHGURGL – THE DIAMOND OF THE ALPS
Located in the Sölden region off the glacier, Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is one of the first ski resorts to open its cable cars and pistes every year from mid-November. Located at 1,900 metres, snow and thus the perfect piste conditions are guaranteed. With good reason, this place can say that it is the most snow-sure winter sports region in the Alps. The winter season lasts a very long time until well into spring. Skier and snowboarders can look forward to 112 kilometres of slopes for all levels of ability spread over a large area between 1,800 and 3,080 metres above sea level. 25 ultra-modern cable cars ensure a transportation capacity of over 42,000 people. The wonderful panorama of the 3,000 metre peaks will enchant you. Wide, extensive slopes, traditional ski lodges and no waiting times at the cable cars are all highlights of this ski resort. Friendly ski schools and nurseries are also available.
INSIDER TIP FOR FREERIDING & SKI TOURING
Have you discovered the sparkling white world of the deep snow? The ski resort at the end of the Ötz Valley, 14 km from Sölden, offers everything that deep-snow fans could wish for. Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is a real insider tip with freeriding fans and passionate ski tourers. The terrain is diverse, however if you want to follow in the tracks of the world’s best freeriders, do not do so without a local guide.

The Funpark in Hochgurgl and the small, but technically advanced quattro Snow Park in Obergurgl with rails, benches and jumps really live up to their name.
REST STOPS
Take a break between carving swings and stop off at a beautiful, traditional lodge. The TOP attractions: The Top Mountain Star (3,080 m) featuring a fully glazed restaurant with a 360° panoramic bar and a viewing platform. In addition to the culinary highlights, delight in the breathtaking 360° view of the Ötz Valley Alps right through to the South Tyrol Dolomites. Another sight to see is the Top Mountain Crosspoint. This multi-functional complex serves as the valley station for the new Kirchenkar gondola cable car and houses a self-service restaurant, the Timmelsjoch toll station as well as Europe’s highest altitude motorcycle museum where you can marvel at over 230 amazing examples from over 100 manufacturers.
JOSL MOUNTAIN LOUNGING
Your 4-star hotel is located in a peaceful, relaxed location right on the ski slopes (just 50 metres from the Hohe Mut cable car). We have an excellent reputation as an adults-only hotel. After a day on the slopes, return to your hotel on your skis! On arrival you can leave your car in our underground car park. Treat yourself to a delicious drink in the Josl Mountain Lounge.
